Services & Billing

At this time we are in the process of credentialing with several major and local insurance companies. Until the process is complete, we will provide all patients with a super bill to submit to your insurance company.

While we do not take all insurances at this time for care, this does NOT mean that you cannot use your insurance at the pharmacy to pick up your medications, if prescribed any

We are currently credentialed with the following companies:

Cigna   •   Aetna   •   Carelon

- Two months of paystubs are required to qualify for this plan

- Yes

Services F.A.Qs

How do I prepare for my initial visit?

- If this is your first ever visit for psychiatric services, the best way to prepare is to create a list of questions / concerns / symptoms that you are having
- If you have been to a psychiatrist previously or are currently being treated by your primary care doctor for any mental health conditions, please obtain your records and upload to the patient portal
- Please make sure all intake / consent forms are completed prior to your appointment. If you have been sent to a psychiatric screener, please make sure to complete them as well

Can you do an evaluation for ADHD?

- Yes, evaluations for ADHD will be done through a two-step method. The first step is the clinical interview / assessment performed by our provider; the second step is an online computer-based assessment done at home (fee associated)

I have been diagnosed previously with ADHD, do I have to do everything the same as if someone who hasn't been yet?

- The answer is yes and no. Our provider will conduct a clinical interview during the initial intake and reconfirm the diagnosis. If there are any concerns of the diagnosis, the patient may be asked to complete the online assessment.
- Please obtain a copy of the diagnosis from your previous provider and upload it your patient portal prior to your appointment
- Accepted documentation includes Neuro-psych testing, pediatrician diagnosis letter, letter from your primary care physician documenting they have screened and given the diagnosis, previous psychiatry records
- What is not accepted: documentation stating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, unspecified or portal messages stating diagnosis
- If you are providing a diagnosis letter, please ensure that it is an official letter head

Do you do FMLA paperwork, Nexus VA letters, diagnosis letters, ESA letters or work accomidation paperwork?

- Yes. While we do complete paperwork, we require that the patient at least be an established patient for one month, having been seen at least twice (intial assessment and follow-up visit). Paperwork will require an additional fee (even for insurance covered patients) based on the length / type of paperwork

Do you prescribe Benzodiazepines (IE, Ativan, Xanax, Valium)?

- Another yes and no answer. We do not routinely prescribe these medications as evidence-based research shows that they can be highly addictive, have withdrawal effects and other severe long term side effects. If a patient comes to our practice already on these medications and using them daily, our provider will work diligently with the patient to formulate a plan for deprescribing and find an alternative solution
- Patients who need a short-term course will be given a prescription if medically necessary. Patients who need benzodiazepines for situations such as flying or medical procedure will be given a script, if medically necessary

I want to get off my medications, can you help me with deprescribing?

- Absolutely! Patients who are seeking to stop their medications will be accommodated. Our provider will work with he patient to create a safe tapering plan. Once medications have been stopped, some patients, may be required to have several follow appointments to ensure mental well-being

Do you tele-health? In-person?

- At this time our practice is tele-health-based practice with certain situations allowing or requiring in person appointments
- For patients located in the Georgetown / Jarrell / Florence areas, we offer walking appointments (based on availability)- our provider will meet with the patient at a local park and conduct the appointment while walking and enjoying nature
- For patients recieving controlled substances (IE, stimulants, benzodiazepines, controlled sleeping medications) a once a year in person appointment will be required (this is a DEA requirement and not negotiable). One week every quarter, our provider will conduct these appointments at a Georgetown, Tx location. During the initial intake, our provider will schedule your in person appointment as well as your follow-up

I am interested in therapy only, what kind of therapy do you provide?

- Therapy is conducted with our PMHNP and limited spots are available. Our provider conducts talk, supportive and CBT-based mindfulness therapy. At this time, we do not have a dedicated therapist on staff, however, we will be more than happy to refer you to a provider if we cannot accomodate your needs

I am interested in supplements, will you recommend any?

- Yes, our provider has training in and practices integrative psychiatry

I am in need of a refill, what do I do?

- Most of the time, during your follow-up appointment, our provider will provide you with the needed refills. Should you need a refill prior to your appointment, please call the office and request the refill
- If you are receiving a prescription for stimulant medications or other controlled substances, please note that scripts cannot be refilled prior to 30 days after it was filled last (not the date written)

I lost my medication, it was stolen, my dog ate it, what do I do?

- We understand that life happens, certain medications can be refilled early under certain circumstances
- Controlled medications cannot be refilled under these circumstances

Some Crew Gossip Thusfar

I must have rolled the internet dice and won for once in my life. Julie and I have similar thought processing and are on the same communication wavelength. She listens so well, I can speak in bits and pieces, shes able to piece it together and by the end of the visit, my psychiatric health is better in that we're laughing and she understood. #winning

Little to no wait time. Julie is the first provider I've seen in a very long time that actually listened to me and is helping with my mental illness. I feel much better since she changed my medicines. I highly recommend her. Thanks Julie, I appreciate you.

Julie is so understanding and truly cares. She created a safe space for me and made me feel safe the way no one else has. She doesn’t back away from a challenge or make you feel like you’re too much. Truly the best psych NP I have ever worked with. Thank you so much for being you!
